While mares are equally important in their own right, the stallion is the horse with the ability to mass-produce. If you have a great stallion, he can sire several wonderful foals each season. Just the same, a stallion of mediocre quality with a bad mind can produce foals that are just that... mediocre with a bad mind. We strive to provide our mares (and our clients' mares) with top-quality stallions who can hold their own with any stud in the nation. Not only are our stallions exceptionally bred, they have nice conformation, great color, the ability to produce world-class foals, and most important of all... they have great minds! Argentarius is a prime example of our kind of stallion power. He's an own son of the ApHC Hall of Fame horse Dreamfinder. Not only is he big and beautiful, this stallion garnishes a lot of attention locally because he runs in the backyard all year with a herd of mares AND geldings. We've yet to see another stud who will run with open mares, bred mares and several geldings of various ages, all together, without strife, even during breeding season! Argentarius will ride with any horse, any time. He doesn't spook, and has no problem visiting the city limits of Hays with its heavy traffic, skate boarders and any number of distractions that accompany population. He's a diplomat and is more than glad to allow someone to pet and talk to him. In short, Argie will do anything you ask of him to the best of his ability. It just doesn't get any better than this!
