Sonitas Hot Socks was a 1996 chestnut son of the world class performance horse Colonel Hotrodder and grandson of the hall of fame stallion Colonel Freckles. This muscular, well-built stallion was not only bred to work cattle and perform, he was built to last. He had excellent bone density, a powerful build and good size - all wrapped up in an attractive look and plenty of chrome. His DNA is on file with the AQHA and he has been UC Davis tested five panel n/n for PSSM1, GBED, MH, HERDA and HYPP. Best of all he was extremely good-minded and a gentle horse who had been used as a ranch horse much of his life. Bloodlines include some of the best-ever AQHA horses to grace this Earth - Cutter Bill, Doc Bar, King, Leo, Poco Tivio, Sugar Bars and Peppy San. Hot Socks was bred to both AQHA and ApHC mares this year and we look forward to his 2018 foals regardless of their color/coat pattern. In short, Hot Socks may have been a senior citizen, but his conformation, disposition and proven bloodlines are timeless.
